The Bedford Garden Club is located in Bedford, MA. We were founded on September 25, 1956 -- we are celebrated our 50th year in 2006! We currently have 80 members in our club. Eight are honorary.
Our general meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday morning of every month (except June, July, and August). Most of our meetings are held in the Bedford Free Public Library Meeting Room, located next to the high school on Mudge Way in Bedford. The exceptions are our holiday party, annual meeting, and an occasional field trip. Our social hour begins at 9:30 a.m. and the meeting and program begin at 10:00 a.m. The Executive Board meets on the 4th Monday of the month in members' homes.
The purpose of our club is to stimulate among amateurs the knowledge and love of gardening, protection of native trees and plants, and encouragement of civic planting.
Our members help with fundraisers so that we may continue to support our civic projects and annual scholarship. We have interesting meetings, learn a lot, and have fun in the process!
We have been a member of the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts, Inc. since 2001.

If you are a Bedford, MA resident and are interested in joining our club, come to one of our meetings and complete an application at our membership table or complete the downloadable pdf membership application below and mail it to our membership chairperson. The cost to join is $25 per year which includes membership in the Federation and a subscription to "The Mayflower."
MARK YOUR CALENDAR for our spring fundraisers:
On Saturday, May 10, we are having a Geranium and Perennial Sale in front of the Department of Public Works (across from Friendly's) on Great Road in Bedford. Come and buy some geraniums, perennials, herbs or flower arrangements for Mother's Day! Or buy your mother a Garden Tour Ticket!
On Saturday and Sunday, June 21 and 22, from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. we are sponsoring a tour of eleven (11) private gardens in Bedford. Advance tickets are $20; tour-day tickets are $25 and may be purchased at New England Nurseries, 216 Concord Road, Bedford, MA beginning May 10, 2008. They will also be available at our Geranium Sale. For information and mail order tickets, contact Marion at 1-781-275-9564.

1) "The History of the Bedford Garden Club" is completed. The Bedford Public Library and the Garden Club Library have copies of this publication for circulation.
