10 Herbs Everyone Should Know and Grow

Guest speaker Karen O’Brien of Green Woman’s Garden will present Herbs Beyond the Basics: 10 Herbs Everyone Should Know and Grow.
Karen O’Brien has gardened for more than 40 years and is certified as a Master Gardener. She is actively involved with The Herb Society of America and the International Herb Association, serving on their boards.
Parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, and basil are great herbs that form the backbone to a good herb garden. Karen will go beyond the basics to explore 10 lesser-known herbs that should be included to make a great herb garden. Culinary, fragrant, and ornamental, these herbs will add a new dimension to the garden and kitchen.
Samples will be offered showing a variety of ways that fresh herbs can be used (cooking, home-made decorations, in the landscape, for fragrance, etc.)
